Live near Chautauqua? Come learn new ways to transition off fossil fuels and to a more sustainable lifestyle! We’ll have music, food, businesses and nonprofits helping lead the change, a near net-zero energy home tour, kids activities, face painting and more!

Our Plastic Future From Land to Sea: Talk by Anna Cummins

Join the Colorado Ocean Coalition and Denver Divers for a talk by Anna Cummins, Co-Founder of 5 Gyres followed by a social.

Is it true that by 2050 there will be more plastic by weight than fish in the Ocean? Anna will share stories of researching and documenting plastic pollution by sailing thru the worlds 5 great subtropical gyres:  massive vortexes fueled by ocean currents.

She will also pose the question: Why might Coloradans want to know how much plastic pollution is in our own rivers and lakes?
